The arrival of Goldberg is shown to start the show. He arrives in a white limo as the announcers speculate who the winners of the battle royal will be. The winner of the Battle Royal faces Goldberg at Starrcade. The announcers say that Hogan is not in the building as of yet.

This will be the opening match of the evening..Wrath dominates the early stages of the match, which is slow and uneventful. The tide turns several times within the 7or 8 minute contest. In the end, though, Glacier hits a shitty Chryonic Kick, and attempts a Thumb Spike Submission. Wrath, however, blocks it and applies the Meltdown for the win. The crowd was into this match for some reason, and popped big for the finish.

A lengthy clip is shown hyping Bret Hart for tonight's match against DDP. The clip shows Hart trying to end the careers of numerous wrestlers.

Konnan does his spiel before the match, which gets a decent, but not great reception from the Detriot crowd. Stevie Ray takes the early advantage, but Konnan hits with a rolling clothesline and a seated dropkick. A resthold passes some time..Konnan spills to the outside where Vincent hammers away. Ray keeps the advantage throughout the middle stages of the match, with choke holds and the like. Konnan gains the advantage and hits his back kick, facebuster combo. Vincent jumps up again, allowing Ray to gain an advantage. Vincent climbs on the ropes again, but hits Stevie with the Slapjack by accident. Konnan, oblivious to what has happened, pounds on Ray, shoving the ref and drawing a DQ. Booker T comes in, seemingly to help his brother, but is shoved off by Stevie Ray. The two brothers stare down to end this frame.

This tag team match involves the wrestling debut of Sonny Onoo. Yeah! Onoo is announced as having an undefeated wrestling record of 3-0. The Cat and Kaz Hayashi start things off. Miller tells Kaz he has five seconds to leave, but Kaz tags in Saturn, who decks the Cat as he turns around. Cat retreats to the outside. Hayashi is back in against Miller. Miller gains the advantage with a scoop slam and some kicks. Sonny Onoo is in when Hayashi is grounded. Hayashi no sells Onoo's offense, then trys to bribe Kaz. Onoo clibs under Kaz to tag Miller back in. Saturn is in against Miller. The tide turns between these two numerous times. Onoo rejects a tag attempt, but it pulled in. Onoo kicks Saturn, then tags out. Cat sends him back in, and Saturn locks in a crossface. Cat interferes, and gets hit with a double dropkick by the faces. Miller regains the advantage. Onoo is back in, with kicks on Hayashi in the corner. Kaz catches him, but Onoo is thrown down. Onoo tags Miller in. Saturn tagged in, he tags Hayashi in soon after. Onoo back in, he stomps Kaz. Saturn tagged in, as Onoo begs off. Miller sneaks in but is nailed. Onoo locked by Saturn, but Miller kicks Saturn, allowing Onoo to cover Perry for the victory.

Jericho is interviewed at the Internet location, saying he is going to lasso Bobby Duncam Jr. tonight.

This match is for the WCW Cruiserweight title, which Juvi won this past Monday on Nitro. Mean Gene catches up with Juvi, who is wearing an LWO t-shirt. Eddie Guerrero comes out and explains that Juvi is now in the organization. Mysterio comes out, and says that he deserves the title shot. Eddie tells Rey it's their best interests for Juvi to be champion. Eddie tells Rey he needs to learn to sacrifice, and Rey says he will do something about this situation. So the match begins after that little nifty angle. Match starts quick, with the momentum changing sides on numerous occasions..Nice Rocker Dropper by Juvi. Headscissor takeover by Juvi, but Kidman comes back with a Mini Powerbomb. Nice powerslam and an inside out Guillotine Legdrop by Kidman. Juvi takes advantage, and slows things down. Juvi attempts a Tornado DDT, but misses, and Juvi goes up top again and it caught with a dropkick coming off. Juvi thrown outside, and Kidman hits a plancha. Back inside, as they duel on the middle turnbuckle. Juvi hits a Frankensteiner from the top rope onto the ground from the ring apron!! Awesome move! Back inside the ring, a brainbuster by Juvi. Juvi hits an outside in missle dropkick, sending Kidman outside, where Juvi hits a nice plancha. Kidman thrown in. Guillotine Legdrop by Juvi. Juvi goes to another ring, and jumps to two ropes, almost tripping on the second, and hits a missile dropkick. Nice dropkick by Kidman. Back body drop, and a 2 count by Billy. Kidman misses a splash in the corner, and Juvi hits an atomic drop. Juvi lines him up for the 450, but Kidman crotches him. Kidman headscissors Juvi into the next ring. Kidman sprinboards onto both sets of ropes, hitting a high cross body! Unbelieveable! Kidman into the third ring, and Juvi walks across two more sets of ropes to hit a top rope Frankensteiner. Juvi calls for the Juvi Driver, but Kidman goes over, and Juvi hits the Juvi Driver. Juvi goes up, and misses the 450. Juvi hits a Frankensteiner for a near fall. Juvi hit with a facebuster. Kidman goes up for the Shooting Star Press, but is crotched. Juvi attempts a Frankensteiner, but Rey Jr. comes down and holds down Kidman, allowing Kidman to hit the Shooting Star Press for the victory. The LWO comes down and gets in Rey's face. Eddie tells Rey to be in or out of the LWO, and Rey throws the shirt at him. Then, slips out before the LWO can attack.

This is announced as a grudge match. The ref dances out, preceding Buff and Big Poppa Pump. In the back, Rick Steiner is being pounded by Giant, Vincent, Bryan Adams, and someone else. Giant drags Steiner out, as Buff imitates him. The referee begins the ten count, but Rick Steiner is rolled in before the ten count. Bagwell and Scott pound on Rick as the match starts. A couple lariats by Rick. He pounds with his left arm, favoring his left. The Ref is knocked down, allowing Scott to hit a low blow. Scott locks in the Steiner Recliner, and Goldberg comes in! He is nailed by Scott Steiner, but Spears him off the ropes! He goes for a Jackhammer, but is hit with a chair by Bagwell. He picks up the ref in a gorilla press, and throws him into the other ring. Buff grabs the ref, and they retreat. The Goldberg chant breaks out as Rick and Goldberg embrace.

This is a special return match from Halloween Havoc, pitting Hall vs. Nash once again. Hall is accompanied to the ring by numerous members of the nWo. Before the match can start, Eric Bischoff makes his way to ringside. He tells Hall that it's survey time, and the survey says for the rest of the members to attack Hall. That brings Nash to the ring, and he clears the ring of the nWo Black and White. Hall and Nash fight the men off together, then turn and face. The crowd chants "Outsiders" as Hall and Nash face off. Hall offers for the Too Sweet sign, but Nash walks away, not accepting Hall's offer.

This match is for the WCW Television Title, and is a rematch from this past Monday on Nitro. Jericho is accompanied by Ralphus, his security guard. Jericho is thrown down, and regroups to Ralphus on the outside. Jericho takes down Duncam, and applies a resthold. Duncam nails a lariat, sending Jericho to the outside, but he suplexes him back into the ring. Resthold by Duncam. Jericho nails a jawbreaker to get out of it, but Bobby hits a big boot, and sends him into the ropes, and hammers away. Jericho sent to the outside again, and sends Jericho into the safety railing, and into the crowd. Jericho with a clothesline off the steel guard rail, and a missile dropkick by Jericho on Duncam. Jericho jumps on Bobby's back, but is sent off. a shoulderbreaker by Duncam for a two count. Arm breaker and Duncam goes to work on the arm. Jericho, however, goes to the ropes, forcing the break. Stun gun by Jericho on the top turnbuckle. Springboard missile dropkick hits Duncam on the ring apron. Jericho sends Duncam into the steel steps, and sends him inside. Arrogant cover gets only a 1. Resthold by Jericho, rides Duncam down to the mat. Jericho hammers the Texan in the corner with a choke and a back kick. Lariat by Duncam. Dropkick and chops by Jericho. Duncam no sells chops and nails Jericho, and a big boot and hits a big elevated drop on Chris. Two count by Bobby. Jericho attempts a sunset flip, but is sent down with a choke slam. Jericho with a jawbreaker, and the Lionsault. Senton splash by Jericho, and he goes up top and is crotched. Duncam nails a superbrain buster. Duncam attempts a german suplex, but Jericho reverses into the LionTamer. Duncam gets ou, sends him down, and hits an elbow drop, but Jericho is out. Duncam lifts Jericho, and Ralphus gets involved. Jericho takes the TV title and hits Duncam from behind, allowing him to gain the victory.

It is now time for the 60 man battle royal..A lot of jobbers head up the group of participants in the battle royal. Instead of doing coverage for this match, which would be completely impossible, I will just list when the end comes. Kevin Nash immediately clears all the people out of his ring, and is left along for a matter of minutes. Kanyon, Kaz Hayashi, and others are eliminated, while Horace and the Disciple eliminate each other. Hollywood Hogan is still not in attendence. Giant eliminates Chavo, but is unable to get rid of Alex Wright. Ten guys get on the Giant. Giant throws everyone off, and the men disperse and ignore the Giant. Down to 25 people remaining, and this match has been more watchable than the last few years, due to WCW not using the three rings on a split screen angle anymore. Rey Mysterio is the 40th man eliminated, and they all move into a center ring. Saturn and Miller fight on the floor on their way to the center ring, and both are gone from the match. Giant press slams Kidman to the outside, eliminating all the non nWo men, except Malenko and Benoit. Hall and Nash attempt to dump the Giant out together, as Stevie Ray is gone. Norton and Mongo are both gone at Nash's hands. Bam Bam Bigelow comes out of the crowd, and is jumped by all the wrestlers. He tries getting back in, but is arrested and taken away. Goldberg comes down, and attacks Bam Bam. The wrestlers stand by and watch the two brawl..The royal recommences. Booker T is eliminated. The groups align themselves, the Pac, nWo, and the Horsemen. Nash, Konnan, and Luger from the Pac. Giant and Hall from the nWo. Benoit and Malenko from the Horsemen. Konnan is thrown out. Nash calls for an elimination of the Giant..They all attack the Giant, but he shoves them off. They go back on him, and all 6 of the other members thrown Giant out. Benoit is taken out by The Pac. Malenko goes next, leaving Luger, Hall, and Nash. Nash works over Luger, but Hall gets in the fray. Luger knocks both men down, and calls for the Rack. He gets Hall up, but Nash knocks both men out. Nash wins the Royal!! Nash and Luger embrace following the win, and Nash will now face Goldberg at Starrcade.

This is the main event, for the US Heavyweight Title. Buffer butchers the ring introductions as usual. Why is this match the main event? The match immediately goes outside, with DDP in control. DDP stomps at Hart. Hart regains control, but the momentum see saws throughout the early stages of the match. DDT by Hart for a 2 count. Hart uses some cheap tactics to work over DDP. Arm drag into a resthold for Hart. DDP nails a swinging neck breaker on Bret, and attempts the Diamond Cutter, to which Hart rolls out of the ring. Side Russian Leg Sweep by Hart. DDP reverses into a tombstone piledriver. Hart with a backbreaker then his legdrop. 2 count. Low headbutt by Bret and he works Page over in the corner. Page hits a belly to belly suplex for a near fall. DDP hits a sloppy flapjack, and Bret clotheslines DDP to the outside, and follows him out over the top rope. Hart rolls back in. Hart takes a foreign object, but DDP hits a clothesline. The object is found by the ref. Hart countered into a Sharpshooter. A horrible one at that, that Hart makes to the ropes. Low blow by Hart in the corner. Hart works over the knee in preparation for the Sharpshooter. Hart hits the knee into the steel ring post. Figure four around the post by Hart. Figure Four inside the ring by Bret, but DDP gets to the ropes, causing the break. Leg still being worked over by Hart, strategically setting up for the Sharpshooter..Hart sent into the steel ring steps on the outside. DDP crotches Hart across the steel guard rail. DDP then applies the ring Figure Four on Hart on the outside. DDP takes a chair into the ring, but it is grabbed by the ref, and Hart inadvertantedly takes out the ref. Hart gets the object from the ref and knocks out DDP, as the nWo ref comes down to ringside. Hart applies the Sharpshooter, and the nWo ref calls for the bell. The nWo ref hands the belt to Hart, but Mickey Jay puts a stop to it. DDP hits the Diamond Cutter and gets the three count, remaining the US Heavyweight title.
